Fitness and wellbeing have been part of my life from a very young age. A high-level swimmer and keen gymnast during my school years meant my education in training and nutrition started early.

Out of university I embarked on a career in fashion retail. Mostly by accident, I’d applied for an administration job so I could start paying back my student debt. However I found I really enjoyed the role, and the industry, and stuck with it for 10 years. My final role, Head of Accessories, was the pinnacle, but there always seemed to be a draw pulling me back to sport and fitness.

In my past time I had kept abreast of my previous training, education and learning in fitness and nutrition and saw it more as a hobby. It wasn’t until late 2012 when I opened CrossFit Nottingham, a strength and conditioning facility, with my husband, that I realised I needed to turn my hobby into my career. It was a huge leap of faith to leave a developed career behind, but in the last 7 years I’ve never looked back.

about

On discovering CrossFit I immediately fell in love with the methodology and challenge the sport provides. I have competed at a National and European level within the sport and have represented CrossFit Nottingham as an individual and as part of a team.

My coaching career spans 16 years. I’ve work with individuals and groups to enable them to reach their potential. I’ve helped people discover fitness, return to fitness, prepare for big life events, assisted them in athletic performance or simply got them to a place where they feel happy.

I am driven and motivated by the positive changes nutrition and fitness has on people’s lives. I watch my clients become fitter, healthier, stronger and more confident. The rewards are solely intrinsic and I feel privileged that my clients place their trust in me, it’s a partnership.
