I want to shout about Studio Four and Katie from the rooftops yet at the same time I want to keep it the biggest secret from my competitors so they don’t get the edge! I’ve been working with Katie for 4yrs now. I initially asked for help as nutrition has always been my area of weakness and I was struggling to support my training load and get to a sensible race weight. In that time she has revolutionised my daily training and racing.
I started seeing Katie after having my first child, he was turning 2 and I had substituted food for snacks and couldn’t recognise my own body. Katie helped me find a nutritional balance with my diet, having accountability to make time to eat regular meals. Understanding and listening to help me achieve my goals. The weight came off and I began to feel like myself again.
First and foremost THANK YOU! When I first met Katie I was not in a good place mentally while also under-eating and feeling completely drained. Over the 6 months I worked with Katie I simply wanted to be healthy and happy again and Katie played a massive part in that!
I sought Katie's help/advice in July 2021 with the aim of building strength and losing fat before my 40th birthday in April 2022. Having tried various plans and diets in the past I was fed up with great initial results but ending up in the same position or worse six months down the road. I already put plenty of work in at the gym and out running and needed a plan I could stick to long term, and that delivered sustainable results.
When I reached out to Katie for some programming support I didn’t realise what an important person I was bringing into my life. I run a gym myself and, although I’ve got all the gear and most certainly somewhat of an idea, I didn’t have the capacity to keep myself inspired, focussed and accountable. I needed to be the client, not the coach!
Katie has been coaching me for around 9 months. This has been an entirely positive experience which has allowed me to consider what I really want to achieve from my fitness and set new goals. Initially I wanted to work on the technical aspect of my olympic lifting, because of Katie I am now more efficient with my lifts, lifting a heavier weight but more than that I understand the lifts. In gymnastics I have been working on toes to bar (TTB) and kipping pull ups.
I have been working with Katie for substantial periods of time within the last 4 years now. She has coached me through the lead up to, and actual days of, some big CrossFit competitions as well as helped me to shift my lockdown pudge. She is super knowledgeable, explains everything really well, keeps evolving her methods, is very supportive, but also gives tough love if needed.
I've been working with Katie (or Baggott as I like to call her!!) for over 4 years now and couldn't recommend her enough. She has supported my nutrition journey to help me further understand what a balanced diet looks like and the calories I need to support my lifestyle as a busy working mum of 2 who CrossFits 5/6 times a week.
